United Study LTD (herein after referred to as United Study) will set out the following terms and conditions to clarify the relationship between you, the English teacher applicant, United Study and your prospective employer in the selected country (herein referred to as the “Contracting Education Institute”). Please read through this agreement carefully before choosing to move forward. Through using our recruiting services, and by selecting “I Agree” below, you will be agreeing to the statements set out below and agree to comply with the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

1. United Study, in its sole discretion shall attempt to help you obtain a teaching contract in the selected country. If you receive an offer from a Contracting Education Institute to teach in your selected country and you choose to accept that offer, you will be responsible and liable for obtaining a passport, collecting the relevant documentation needed to obtain the immigration visa required and arranging, co-coordinating your position. This shall include all funding, costs and expenses necessary along the way. United Study will do our best to support you with advice and direction.

2. You understand that employment shall not be guaranteed and is entirely dependent on the Contracting Educational Institute and yourself deciding to move forward with an employment contract.

3. By clicking the agreement box, you are agreeing to the collection of your information, including but not limited to your name, email address, CV, cover letter, passport scan, degree certificate work history, academic history, photograph and other personal information required to determine your eligibility to teach in China. You are authorising United Study to use this information to help you obtain employment on your behalf with a prospective employer. All information collected shall be used solely for the purposes described above and shall not be shared beyond that. Submission of personal information is entirely optional and may be removed by written request by emailing info@unitedstudy.co.uk or request to a member of the United Study team.

4. Use of United Study website is anonymous however would contain a record of access, in the form of an IP log kept to monitor server usage. Such records are entirely confidential and shall not be disclosed elsewhere.

5. Any feedback questionnaires or testimonies you opt into shall be deemed non-confidential and thus United Study shall be free to use for marketing purposes.

6. United Study shall not be held liable for a breath of a teaching contract by either the teacher or the Teaching Education Institute, nor for any situation that results in a teaching contract not being fulfilled including but not limited to school closure, bankruptcy of the institution. If the agreement is terminated for any reason, United Study shall not be held responsible for resolving the situation but shall do our best to help you find a new opportunity.

7. While United Study shall support you, any teaching contract will be solely between you and the contracting education institute. United Study shall not be viable for any expenditure you may undertake as a result of the visa application process, nor any unsuccessful application, nor any costs you may incur as a result of opting to accept a teaching contract. This shall also include but not limited to transportation, accommodation or other services or products. United Study shall not be responsible for any costs provided by a third party.

8. You assume all risks to person and property in connection with your participation in teaching abroad, including but not limited to potential damages, bodily harm, travel delays, sickness, disease or death. You agree that you are in sufficient health at the time of this agreement and do not hold any mental or physical conditions preventing you from the contractual stipulations to teach abroad and obtain the necessary visa.

9. You ensure that you have full medical insurance coverage and that United Study will not be responsible for your insurance in connection with your teaching opportunity.

10. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and any jurisdiction to the host country you will be teaching in. If at any time you are judged detrimental to your contracting education institute as determined by United Study or the Contracting Education Institute, then you may be terminated from agreement without incurring any liability. If inappropriate or illegal acts and behaviour is carried out abroad, or you breach your contract in bad faith, United Study is not obligated to work with you.

11. You fully and forever insure, waive and discharge, and promise not to sue United Study, its directors, employees, agents, representatives, and affiliates from and for any and all demands, claims, actions, suits, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including, but not limited to, court costs and legal fees), from any cause whatsoever, whether directly or indirectly arising in connection with your participation in the United Study recruitment process and teaching abroad, whether or not foreseeable or contributed to by the negligent acts or omissions of United Study or others.

This agreement constitutes the entire agreement, and supersedes any prior agreements, understandings and negotiations, regarding this subject matter. This Agreement may not be amended by course of conduct or otherwise, and may not be assigned in whole or in part, except in writing as executed by Opportunity China. This Agreement shall be interpreted and enforced in accordance with English law. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the England & Wales. If any provision of this Agreement is held unenforceable by a court, then this shall not affect any other provision, and this Agreement shall be construed as if such provision, had not been incorporated herein.
